Meeting Bob 2 yrs ago when I moved to the Blue Ridge area was one of the perks of the AA way of life. If you had 1 hour, 1 week or numerous years in the program, he was a constant reminder of what this way of life can do for you. One night at a meeting, after I had missed several meetings, he asked me if I was getting a red ring around my ass from sitting on that pity pot of mine. I will carry the message because Bob showed me that by doing this and living the life of recovery are some of our greatest gifts in AA. Besides, I'm the "only one he loves".
